After a two year wait here at last is the fourth installment of the Bent
Mystery series of books. This time the author takes his lead character, JB,
back to his hometown in Kansas where an old schoolboy chum has been charged
with murder. Beginning with auto-asphyxiation and then exploring the
underbelly of a small town in Midwestern America, JB finds a mixed bag of
shady and quixotic characters that will fascinate while still being
recognizable to the reader.
While JB tries to solve not one but two murders, Len Matthews, his best
friend, is on the road with a musical that has had one to many accidents,
even injuring the leading ingenue. Len has to find the person who is sabotaging
his show. Its All About Eve meets Pecks Bad Boy.
Ken Lansdowne has once again given us a rollicking set of stories to keep
you interested and reading until the very end. I had a wonderful time with
this book and I hope you will all read it.
